(Summary description)The types of stainless steel used in the project are mainly austenitic stainless steel, martensitic stainless steel and ferritic stainless steel. These three kinds of steel have their own characteristics. The following editor will summarize and introduce as follows: Austenitic stainless steel includes iron-chromium-manganese Types, iron-chromium-manganese-nickel alloys, and special-purpose ones include nitrogen, copper, silicon and other elements. Austenitic stainless steel is the most commonly used type. It belongs to the 200 and 300 series in the old AISI system. It is usually not magnetic. Cold working can make it significantly hardened, with excellent formability and weldability. Compared with carbon steel, it has low thermal conductivity and large thermal expansion coefficient. The main grades are S3040

Information

The main types of stainless steel used in the project are austenitic stainless steel, martensitic stainless steel and ferritic stainless steel. These three types of steel have their own characteristics. The following editor summarizes and introduces as follows:
Austenitic stainless steels include iron-chromium-manganese, iron-chromium-manganese-nickel alloys, and special applications include nitrogen, copper, silicon and other elements. The main grades are S30400 (304), which contains 18% to 20% Cr, 8% to 10.5% Ni, and the rest is iron. Mainly refers to 18-8 stainless steel, these two figures show the approximate content of chromium and nickel. It is mainly used in all kinds of equipment, including containers, pipes, buildings, public facilities, decorations, and many consumer goods used in the production and processing industry of industrial products, such as pools, water tanks, basins for cleaning, kitchenware, pots and flats. Table utensils, etc. When the workpiece needs to be welded, the commonly used low-carbon steel grade S30403 (304L)
Ferritic stainless steel includes iron-chromium alloys. It has the corrosion resistance of stainless steel and is sometimes difficult to weld during production. It is magnetic. It can be slightly hardened during cold working. The varieties are: S40900 (409), containing 10.5%~11.7% of Cr, S43000 (430), containing 16%~18% of Cr, the basic element is iron. Consumer products made of ferritic stainless steel are cheaper, such as car exhaust systems, decorations and flatware.
Martensitic stainless steels are mainly iron-chromium alloys. Its carbon content and other hardener content are higher than ferrite. It is magnetic. Strong, high strength, ductility is not as good as austenite. Can be strengthened by heat treatment. It is not easy to weld. A typical steel grade is S41000 (410), which contains 11.5~13.5% Cr, the maximum content of carbon is 0.15%, and the other element is iron. Its main purpose is to make corrosion-resistant bearings, knives, scissors, valves and compressor parts.
Let's enjoy the beautiful stainless steel products
